Igro Communications is a visual communications agency in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Owned and operated by Megan Hirons Mahon, Igro provides professional photo services including portraiture, events photography, editorial imagery, and drone photography. We also manage and co-ordinate large, multi-location, multi-photographer photo projects.
Megan specializes in capturing genuine moments and experiences that tell the story of the complexity of life in all it's beauty and tragedy.
Megan ran the photo department for Communications Nova Scotia, the communications agency of the Nova Scotia government from 2013-2022. In 2018 she joined the Medical Examiner's Service as a Forensic Photographer and continues to work there on a part-time basis.
Megan was engaged by the Rick Hansen Relay in 2012, and spent 3 months travelling across Canada documenting Change-Makers across the country.
She spent seven years working as a photojournalist in the Middle East, and was a staff photographer at the Gulf News in Dubai from 2006-2011.
